​Pick up and drop off from our headquarters in Murwillumbah located at the start of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail and you can ride off and create your own picnic vibe wherever you choose. This option does NOT include set up and pack up as you do it yourself.

Destination Picnic:

You arrive at the destination and we take care of all the details so you just have to show up, have fun and enjoy your picnic experience.

DIY Picnics you ride off and create your own picnic vibe wherever you choose. Throughout the trail, there are seven designated areas where you can take a break and enjoy a picnic at the provided picnic tables. These areas include the trailhead at Murwillumbah Railway Station, Tweed Regional Gallery, Stokes Siding, Upper Burringbar, Burringbar, Mooball, and Crabbes Creek. Moreover, you'll discover numerous other locations along the trail where you can create your own personalised picnic experience.

With Destination Picnics we have a number of options along the trail and off the trail.

On trail we have the Tweed Regional Art Gallery (about a 2.2km ride)  Hosanna Farmstay (about a 9k Bike ride) Burringbar (about a 19k Bike ride) along with a couple private secrets (please contact us to discuss prior to booking and we can let you in on these secret spots)

Off trail Pedals and Picnics is open to do Picnics in the Tweed Region. This may require getting permission from local council.

Of cause! Destination Picnics are perfect for your special surprise. Simply make your Destination booking. Let us know the best time to contact you and we will take care of the rest. Imagine taking your partner for a ride along the picturesque Northern Rivers Rail Trail and pulling up to a stunning picnic setting with everything done for you. You have 2 hours to relax unwind and romance and then jump back on your bike without having to do a thing. 

No, we will deliver and set-up your picnic and leave once you’re settled. We’ll return once your reservation ends to clean up the site.

After you’ve enjoyed your picnic you just get up and go, it’s that easy. We will return to the site at the end of your visit to take care of clean up.

If you would like to leave earlier than the arranged time, please provide us a 30 minute notice via phone call or text so we can return to the site.

You will be responsible for all picnic inventory until we return to the site. If you abandon the site and damage or theft occur, you will be financially responsible.

We require at least 48hrs notice to prepare your picnic. We do get fully booked, especially on weekends.

To avoid disappointment we recommend giving us as much notice as possible. 

We love advance notice

We will always try to accommodate every picnic order. However, please be aware that because everything we create is planned, prepared and packed to order, and that some days we may sell out so reserve in advance to secure your spot!

Unfortunately, no. Our team has an eye for detail and an appreciation for styling. We strive to make every picnic picture perfect. If you have colors you desire or suggestions, please email them to us at  hello@pedalsandpicnics.com.au and we will try to incorporate them in our setup but this is not guaranteed. 

Your picnic starts at the scheduled time you selected during your booking. We understand life isn’t perfect, so we give a 10 min grace period. Please give me a call if you will be arriving more than 10 minutes late.

We always ask that you check the forecast before you select a date if you are able to do so. If bad weather occurs, we will reschedule your picnic for another time!  You will have a 6 months original date to re-book your picnic. In a non-weather related rescheduling, we ask you reschedule within 72 hours of your first chosen date. 

No big deal! Your guest may not have a place to sit. We always recommend booking your picnic to accommodate all expected guests, but totally get that friends and family may want to stop by! 

All items belong to Pedals and Picnics and should be left as you found it. All purchased food or flowers are yours to take with you. Pedals and Picnics has the right to charge for any missing or damaged products.

If you're riding the Rail Trail then yes your furry friend is more than welcome to tag along! Please make sure to clean up after them and let us know if any accidents occur. It happens - we're pet lovers too! 

For off trail Destination Picnics are require to be checked with us first as each location is different.

All of our packages can be managed in an indoor setting, just ask!

We are happy to clean up after you, that’s part of our service, but if there is irreparable damage to our equipment, the contact for the picnic will be notified and the credit card on file will be charged.

Each DIY Picnic and destination has the choice of four (4) different menus; breakfast, Antipasto,savory and sweet . 

All our grazing boxes are hand packed with the freshest ingredients on the day of delivery and we recommend consuming within two (2) hours of receiving to ensure optimum freshness. 

 Some menu items can be substituted for dietary requirements or personal preferences, extra costs may apply.

If an item is unavailable, we will substitute with a similar product. 

While we make every effort to prevent cross contamination in our kitchen, we cannot guarantee that any food we make is 100% free of any specific allergen. For customers with serious allergies particular nut/dairy/gluten who may react to a trace of an allergen, it is important to recognise that even with this level of control there still may be traces of allergens present in the food from airborne contamination and in that case may not be suitable to eat.

Our Grazing Boxes are filled with a selection of gourmet meat, Cheeses, fruits, nuts and condiments, and desserts that are sure to impress. From Mediterranean-inspired wraps to locally-sourced cheeses, dips, and desserts, every item in our picnic basket has been chosen for its quality and flavour.

So why settle for a boring sandwich and chips when you can have a truly exceptional picnic experience with us?  We can't wait to share our love of great food with you!

The Riders Breakfast BoxThis grazing box includes a variety of locally sourced croissants, chocolate croissants, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, apricots, nuts, crackers and dark chocolate, Wensleydale Cranberry cheese.

The Station Wrap BoxThis grazing box is great for lunches this includes homemade wraps, a healthy selection of celery, carrot, grapes, strawberries, salami, crackers, humus and Tzatziki dips, and sharp and crumbly Cheese.

The Antipasto Trail Box This is great for the afternoon ride and chill. This consists of Mediterranean style olives, salami, cabana , mini gherkins, grapes, various crackers, double brie and havarti cheese.

 The Tunnel Sweet Box This box is for the real sweet tooth and is full of of donuts, chocolate croissants, chocolate cookies, Tim Tams, lollies, lollypops, chocolate and much, much more!! 

Of course you can! For on trail picnics you can have local providers like Hosanna Farmstay (Stokers Siding), Tweed Valley Cheeses (Burringbar) or The Barn Burringbar, look after your catering options. You can also bring your own. Pedals and Picnics is happy to just do the Picnic set up for you.

We know that many of you have special dietary requirements. Just let us know in the notes of your order what they are and we will do our very best to accommodate, make suggestions and create the Perfect Picnic just for you!

Absolutely! You do not need to purchase our Grazing Boxes or platters if you do not wish, but you may be missing out on some pretty sweet treats! At Pedals and Picnics we are happy to do just do the Picnic set up for you.

As per NSW laws drinking in public places are prohibited, however if you are picnicing on private property like Hosanna Farm stay or an organised private property then you are quite welcome to bring your own.
